As a Hollywood actress, Michelle embodied the art of influence on stages and television for over 20 years, and has parlayed those skills into a successful career as an executive coach and leadership consultant with great insight into communicating with power. She is a dynamic teacher that uses her acting experience to infuse her programs with energy and humor, and her rare combination of performance techniques and personal transformation principles create tangible results.
Michelle specializes in helping leaders at all levels prepare for high-visibility meetings and presentations. Her programs are designed to teach senior executives, technical subject matter experts, and high-potential employees to become influential communicators so they will maximize opportunities, make a greater impact, and be change agents inside their organizations.
Her proven methodologies address both presentation skills and executive presence. Leaders need presentation skills to translate their information and requests into clear narratives that resonate with their audiences, and they need to deliver their message with body language that expresses personality and emotion. But equally as important is that their presence conveys authenticity, confidence, and purpose – which are the building blocks of personal power. This is the heart of Michelle’s research-based framework, The ACP Presence Model, which she teaches in keynote speeches, workshops, and her two online courses, Star Presence and Star Virtual.
Also known as The Speech Queen, she has facilitated dozens of workshops for leadership teams at Fortune 500 companies such as KPMG, Deloitte, Cisco, Amex, Genentech, AbbVie, Sony, and Lowe’s. With a BA in Psychology from UCLA and an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School where she earned the distinction of valedictorian, Michelle combines leadership communication and personal transformation principles to coach leaders to step into their personal power, deliver stand-out presentations and keynotes, successfully win promotions, achieve desired outcomes from strategic conversations, and discover authentic, confident, and purposeful leadership.
During her 25-year career as a professional performer in Los Angeles, Michelle cofounded an award-winning theater company, wrote and performed in sketch comedy troupes and her own one-woman show, and guest-starred in dozens of popular television shows, including Bones, CSI, CSI: Miami, Friends, Modern Family, and NCIS. She is also a Myers Briggs Certified Type Indicator Practitioner.
