Ben Utecht is a former professional American football player, singer, and inspirational speaker. Born on April 20, 1981, in Hastings, Minnesota, Ben had a successful career in the National Football League (NFL) as a tight end. He played for the Indianapolis Colts from 2004 to 2008, where he won a Super Bowl championship in 2006, and then went on to play for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2009.
After retiring from football due to multiple concussions, Ben embarked on a new journey as a musician and singer-songwriter. He released his debut album, “Christmas Hope,” in 2012, followed by his second album, “Man of the House,” in 2015. His music combines heartfelt lyrics with soulful melodies, captivating audiences with his powerful voice and storytelling abilities.
Ben Utecht has always chased his dreams, finding his way from a small river town in Minnesota to winning Super Bowl XLI as a tight end with the Indianapolis Colts. He has established himself as an elite Fortune 500 speaker with his Believe in Culture speaking programs, which highlight the topic of believing that culture alignment improves performance and has the power to create high-performing teams —aligned beliefs equal aligned behaviors.
Ben shares the lessons he learned in the locker room with Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy and in the huddle with Hall of Famer Peyton Manning during his programs, which illuminate dynamic ways to succeed in business and life.
He has found success in many realms, sitting on the board of the American Brain Foundation, authoring Counting the Days While My Mind Slips Away with Simon and Schuster, receiving the Tony Dungy Uncommon Leader Award, and becoming a Dove nominated professional singer. He has performed with some of the world’s best orchestras and conductors, shared the stage with Grammy-winner Sandi Patty, performed for mega-producer and hit songwriter David Foster, and has toured with adult contemporary star pianist Jim Brickman. However, Ben would tell you his greatest accomplishment is being a husband to his beautiful wife and a father to their four daughters.
