Maurice Edu

Maurice Edu is a retired American professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Born on April 18, 1986, in Fontana, California, Edu began his career at the University of Maryland before moving to Toronto FC in 2007. He went on to play for several other clubs including Rangers, Stoke City, and the Philadelphia Union.

Edu also represented the United States national team, earning 46 caps and scoring one goal. He was part of the US squad that reached the final of the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. After retiring from professional football in 2018, Edu became a TV analyst and commentator for various networks including ESPN and NBC Sports. He is known for his insightful analysis, engaging personality, and extensive knowledge of the game.
