Kathy Thompson

Kathy has a wealth of experience as a designer and facilitator of high impact learning events. A qualified active coach and supervisor to senior people. Kathy is passionate about the development of others, recognising that everyone has tremendous potential and knowing that the magic happens when this is unlocked. Kathy is a strategic thinker, highly commercial with an extensive network of contacts.

Since June 2019. A director of Kathy Thompson Learning and Coaching Ltd, a behavioural specialist, executive coach and facilitator.

Kathy has a solid grounding in financial services having worked for NatWest Bank between 1973 and 1998. In her long banking career Kathy had a variety of roles all linked with the thread of inspiring and getting the best from others, both customers and colleagues.

At the beginning of 1999 Kathy established her own company – Kathy Thompson Learning Consultancy (KTLC) and for 13 years worked with organisations in both the public and private sector – financial services, law, healthcare, pharmaceutical and national charities. Grant Thornton UK LLP was one of Kathy’s clients and she began working for them full time in 2012.

Kathy has a wealth of experience in the systematic approach to learning, from needs analysis, design and facilitation through to evaluation. Kathy is used to working in highly regulated environments and as a coach practitioner follows the European Mentoring Coaching Council’s (EMCC) competencies, capability indicators, code of ethics and diversity statement.
