Darren helps business make work work better. Back in 2006, after years of trying to both improve customer and colleague experience and reduce costs he finally found the way through. Since then he has played the lead role in greatly improving service and sales for Axa’s 2million, E.on’s 5million and Aviva’s 18million customers.
In 2019 Darren crossed to the dark side and became Aviva Groups HR Services Director subsequently becoming responsible for how Aviva managed its 30,000 colleagues through and out the other side of the pandemic. Darren left Aviva in May 2022 and updated LinkedIn to say ‘for my next challenge I want something really gnarly, complex and challenging’. Darren is now leading all hiring for British Airways, seeking to recruit 7,500 new colleagues.
Darren’s asks of senior leaders, ‘what is it you hold to be true that just might not be?’ and helps leaders re-think their organisations and in doing so, unlock unforeseen performance uplifts. Darren is always learning, always curious.
